Creating a New DICOM Study from Images/Videos, Adding Images/Videos to a Study
The program can create DICOM studies based on images and videos in standard formats, as well as DICOM files
A new study can be created in several ways:
- Click Studies in the main program menu and select Create Study...
or
- Press Ctrl + N

on the keyboard
The New Study Data window will appear
Filling in Patient and Study Data
- Enter patient data: Name, ID, Sex, Date of Birth
Age is calculated automatically
Age can be set manually if necessary
- Enter study data:
Date and Time of the study
Accession number
ID
Description
- If necessary, specify other attributes on the "Advanced" tab:
- The type (modality) of the new study is set in DICOM Creation Settings
Selecting Images and Videos
Automatic
The "Videos and Images" panel will show thumbnails from the source images and videos folder specified in the program settings
- Check the boxes next to the desired images and videos
- To view an image or video, double-click on it
The panel shows only files from the current date
- If there are older files in the folder, the Show older button will appear below the panel
Click it to see all files in the folder
- If older files are loaded, the Hide older button will appear below the panel
Click it to see only files from the current date
Manual
If the images/videos are in another folder, specify the required files
To do this, click the button:
Add Video
Add Image
Add DICOM Files
Add Sirona Galileos Viewer Program File
Add PDF Format File
Add Image from Clipboard
To add multiple files, use standard file selection functions in Explorer (hold down the CTRL
, or SHIFT
keys)
After creating the study, files from the source folder, specified in DICOM Creation Settings, will be deleted
Files added from other directories will not be deleted
Completing the Creation of a New Study
Click the Save button to complete the study creation
The created study will be displayed on screen, added to the Preview Bar, and to the Study Archive
The program can be configured so that the study is immediately sent to the PACS archive
Completing a Study
Returning a Completed Study to Work
- Right-click on the study header in the Preview Bar
or
Left-click the
"More" button
- Left-click on the "Back to Work..." item
- You can resume working on the study
Indication of Study Completion Status in the Archive
- Located in the "Status" column (See Worklist Settings)
- Completed studies are marked with a checkmark
- Incomplete studies are marked with an empty circle
- To quickly view the list of incomplete studies in the Archive, click on the column header
Adding Images/Videos to a Study
- Click Studies in the main program menu and select Add Images to Study...
- Further actions are similar to those described above, starting from the Selecting Images and Videos section
Patient data will be taken from the current study
