Importing Images from CD/DVD

Indication of the presence of a disc in the DVD drive

• Launch Vidar Dicom Viewer
If the Import from CD… button looks like , then there is no disc in the DVD drive
If the Import from CD… button looks like , then there is a disc in the drive and it is ready for import

Loading Studies from a CD/DVD Disc

• Insert a disc with DICOM images into the CD/DVD drive
The Import from CD… button will blink for 5 seconds and will change to
Also, a message with a button will appear in the lower right corner:



The program has detected the disc and is ready to load the images
• Click the Import from CD… button
  or the "Import" button on the message

The study will begin loading
While loading, images will be displayed in the Preview Bar
The Import from CD… button will be inactive , the import indicator will blink
Once the study is loaded, the Import from CD... button will change to , the import indicator will stop blinking
The study will appear in the Preview Bar and its images will be shown on the screen
The program can be configured so that the study is immediately sent to the PACS archive

No Disc in the Drive, or No DICOM Data on It

• Importing Studies from USB, Hard Drives, ZIP Files
• Importing Studies from PACS
• Importing Multiple Studies
