The program is designed for rib analysis
The program automatically unfolds the ribs onto a plane for visual analysis of all their segments
Launching the "Rib Unfolding" Program
Click in the tool panel, in the "Studies" group, on the "Programs" button
Click on the "Rib Unfolding" button
The screen will split into 5 panels:
A panel with the unfolded rib image
3D model panel - at the top
three standard MPR projections - in the lower part of the screen
The series header contains a button - , which allows you to display a simplified layout: three panels with standard MPR projections and one panel with the unfolded ribs
To return to the main layout, click the button - in the series header
Semi-Automatic Rib Numbering
Click the button in the series header
Further actions are similar to those described in the topic "Manual Spine Labeling"
Manually label the spine
In the manual spine labeling service window, click the "Automatic Rib Labeling" button
In the same window, click the "Finish labeling" button
The ribs will also be numbered on the unfolding panel
Hide/Show Rib and Vertebrae Labels
Click the button in the series header to temporarily hide the labels
Click it again to show the numbering
Program Settings
Click the "Rib Unfolding" button in the upper left corner of the program, then - on the "Settings" item
Set the reconstruction thickness and slice step
To restore default values if necessary, click the button
Saving Results
Saving in Vidar Dicom Viewer
The "Rib Unfolding" program is automatically saved upon exit in the Finds list
To display it on screen, click on the "Rib Unfolding" item in the Finds list in the Preview Bar
Saving the Resulting Series
Click the "Rib Unfolding" button in the upper left corner of the program, then - on the "Save the resulting series" item
The series with unfolded ribs will become the last one in the study, in the Preview Bar
Exiting the "Rib Unfolding" Program Mode
Click the "Rib Unfolding" button in the upper left corner of the program
Click on the "Exit Mode" item
The screen layout will return to the standard one
